Komuna is a Mexican specialty coffee roastery based in Copenhagen. We source exclusively from Mexico, a country with over a dozen distinct growing regions, altitudes that rival the best in the world, and producers whose knowledge spans generations.

Mexican coffee has long been underrepresented in specialty. Not for lack of quality, but for lack of presence. Komuna exists to change that.

Mexico is not one thing. Oaxaca is not Chiapas. Veracruz is not Puebla. Each region has its own altitude, its own microclimate, its own farming traditions. That diversity is what makes Mexican single origin coffee so compelling, and so worth paying attention to.

We work directly with the people behind each harvest. Farmers, pickers, processors. Their decisions, from how a cherry is picked to how it's dried, are what end up in your cup. We source with that in mind, and we roast with that same respect.
