Summer Calls for Carajillos ☀️🥃
Share

Days like these just call for a Carajillo. Fresh, smooth, a little sweet—with just the right kick.
Maybe you tried it at our booth in the Danish Coffee Festival. Maybe you have just heard us yap on and on about it. So here it is: our Komuna-style Carajillo recipe. Think Espresso Martini energy, but with a golden Mexican twist.
We're using our Toningo as the heart of this drink for its citric notes. Traditionally sipped as a digestivo—after dinner, during sobremesa, or while soaking in a good sunset.
Check out our Instagram reel where we walk you through the Carajillo recipe step by step. Watch, learn, then make your own.

You’ll need:
- Komuna Toningo ☕️
- Licor 43 🥃
- Fresh oranges 🍊
- Ice 🧊
- A cocktail shaker 💥
- Rocks glasses 🥂
Our Komuna-Style Carajillo Recipe (1 serving):
- Pull a double shot: 60ml Komuna Toningo espresso
- Add 45ml Licor 43 to your shaker
- Drop in that fresh espresso
- Add a generous handful of ice
- Shake it like you mean it — 10–15 seconds until ice-cold and beautifully frothy
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice (or serve neat if you're feeling fancy)
- Garnish with orange zest or a slice — let those citrus oils dance with the coffee
Take your time with it. Savor the moment. This is sobremesa in a glass.
Salud! ☀️☕️
