Nuyuku: From the Sierra Mixteca to Copenhagen 🌿
Share

Hola amigos!
While some of you have already heard about it, we want to properly introduce our new coffee:Â Nuyuku.
Behind this exceptional coffee are two masterminds:
Cecilio has been growing coffee in Santa MarÃa Yucuhiti since 1970, learning from his father as a child. He and his wife Inés bring decades of experience and careful craftsmanship to the art of harvesting coffee.
David Akle is the leader of Marchantia, an organization whose mission is to strengthen the resilience of ecosystems. He partnered up with some of the best coffee producers in Mexico and provides them with training to increase the soil's fertility, and other practices to bring their coffee to the highest standards of specialty coffee.

From Oaxaca's Sierra Mixteca
Santa MarÃa Yucuhiti sits in the steep Sierra Mixteca mountains, where Mixteco-speaking communities have grown coffee for generations. The high altitude and volcanic soil create perfect conditions for exceptional coffee—just like the region's renowned gastronomy.
"Nuyuku" means "in front of the hill" in Mixteco.
Â
The Blend
Nuyuku combines three varieties: Geisha for floral notes, Bourbon for sweetness, and Typica for balance. The result is sweet and silky, with the complexity that earned it Best Coffee in Mexico in 2014 with 88 points.
We're fortunate to receive Cecilio's production through our direct trade relationships. Available now at pre-sale price, with delivery starting in September.
Â
¡Hasta la próxima!
